Pioneers encouraged to record their volunteer hours

Whether you’ve participated in a group project or volunteered on your own, let us know about it by going to http://www.bellsouthpioneers.org/vol/vol_type.asp to record your volunteer time.

You may have participated in a volunteer activity hosted by the Pioneers, such as a fundraiser, reading to children, building a playground, donating canned goods, etc. Or you may have helped your community individually by coaching youth sports, sitting on a non-profit board, making nursing home visits, etc.

Volunteer hours for most types of community activities can be counted and don't have to be connected to a Pioneer project. However, volunteer activities directly associated with religious worship are not eligible for reporting.

Recorded volunteer time allows AT&T and the Pioneers to see where employees and retirees have interest and it provides ideas for future volunteer projects and funding opportunities. It also allows us to illustrate our positive impact on the local community.

Equipping children with computer and literacy skills
Power Up To Read! is a reading program that targets 4th and 5th graders as they transition from "learning to read" to "reading to learn." This is a critical stage for students who are left behind in school if their reading and comprehension does not develop at the same rate as the average student. The program helps students build literacy skills, improve reading comprehension, and build enthusiasm for reading and learning through an interactive, multimedia approach.

Submitting Pioneer expense and deposit reports now made simpler

A new TPF1 form is now available through our online AT&T Pioneer Accounting Center that streamlines former expense and deposit reports. Created in a Microsoft Word document format, the new TPF1 allows the user to type directly on it and easily make changes.  The new TPF1 automatically adds figures in the “Amounts” column. It also features a drop-down list of Pioneer description reasons and account classification codes.
